The 76th Disney Channel Original Movie ‘Princess Protection Program’ premiered as TV’s No. 1 entertainment telecast of 2009 in Kids 6-11 (3.1 million) and Tweens 9-14 (3.2 million) and cable’s No. 1 scripted telecast in Total Viewers (8.5 million).
PPP towered over all time period competition on both broadcast and cable, virtually doubling runner up CBS in Total Viewers (8.5 million vs. 4.4 million), and also scoring No. 1 rank in Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14.
It was Disney Channel’s No. 3 Original Movie of ALL TIME in Total Viewers (8.5 million), behind June ’08’s ‘Camp Rock‘ & August 07’s ‘High School Musical 2.’

By now I’m sure most of you have heard about the tragic loss of the music industry’s single biggest icon, Michael Jackson, passing. I just wanted to say that the King of Pop will forever live and be celebrated for what he’s given the world. He has given the world music it’s never heard before, inspiration which changed our lives and a heart that everybody couldn’t imagine living without. His name and music brings this world together. Michael Jackson is magic. Michael Jackson is music. Michael Jackson is forever.
