A Year Without Rain" peaked at number 35 on Billboard's Hot 100 Songs chart. Round and Round had a better debut but I have high hopes for this song. It could be their next platinum hit song like naturally we just need to really try to support the song by requesting it on the radio as many times as we can.
Selena Gomez & the Scene: The act, led by Disney Channel star Gomez, starts with 69,000 downloads with "A Year Without Rain," the title track from its latest set, due Sept. 21. The song is the third straight entry from the group to debut in the top 40 this year. While it's normally difficult for Disney-based acts to improve upon a high digital-fueled debut chart rank, Gomez & the Scene did better with a No. 39 debut for "Naturally" earlier this year to an eventual No. 29 peak thank to success at top 40 radio. The song reached No. 12 on the Mainstream Top 40 chart.
