HOW RICH IS RICH???

There’s a hotly contested issue being fought over in my lodge between some of my flat mates and myself...these past few days, and you’ll never guess what it’s about: MONEY!.

Wealth is a subjective concept, but one thing is universal in most definitions: being able to live a comfortable life without having to work.

How much money do you need to feel rich?
Infact, is there a difference between being rich AND being wealthy?

Certainly, this is one question too big for this space and an answer that’ll elude anyone that goes looking – what, exactly, is rich?

For some, it’s security. For others, it’s gobs of cash. For you, it might be family. Respect. Good health. Charity. Yada, yada, yada.

Yet while we’re sure to never agree on a theoretical definition of “rich,” OR "wealthy", maybe we can at least do our best to narrow the financial fragments of the term down to a naira sign standard or two.
If we have to boil it down to annual salary, what do you think you’d have to make each year to be classified as “rich”? $100,000? $200,000? More? Less?

So now saying this where do we draw the line? When are you actually wealthy?

Or when can you actually beat your chest to claim the title RICH?
