Oprah Tops Celebrity Charity Givers 3rd Time in Three Years

Media mogul, Oprah Winfrey, has once again topped the list of celebrity charity givers this year, giving a whopping $40 million to various causes in 2009, a report by The Giving Back Fund disclosed.

The money was given out primarily throurgh the Oprah Winfrey Foundation, which supports mainly education and programs for women and children.

"There are many generous celebrities, but when you can top a list of celebrity philanthropists three out of four years, as Oprah has done, that is saying something,” said Marc Pollick, president of the fund.
