Exclusive pictures of P-Square's N500m mansion

Before you see the pics, here's what Peter Okoye said about the twin duplex and how much it cost:

"Getting a land in Omole Estate (Ikeja, Lagos) alone is N100m. When you look at the house, especially the finishing, it is over $2million. When people speculated that the house was worth N300 million, we had not even finished the interior. What do you think is the cost of a mansion that has a swimming pool, six living rooms, ten master bedrooms, all fully furnished? It's far more than the speculated N300million"

SSS, others intercept rocket launchers, bombs in Lagos

Am wondering...what in the freaking f*cking world in hell is wrong with us?
I mean, are we planning on starting a world war three? or we are just stupidly looking at attracting attention to us?... which ever answer we opt for, its not funny.
This is indeed a bad way to start a day and most certainly, a worse way to put Nigeria in the limelight again...to think that we are not yet done with the whole Adamu-FIFA saga thing, here we are again...

Pardon me if i lost you on this one...am just so pissed...rockets launchers, grenades, bombs...found in Lagos port???

Hmnn...maybe you should read the full story here....

Shock greeted the news on Tuesday evening that a combined team of security agents had impounded 13 containers suspected to be loaded with arms and ammunition at Apapa Wharf in Lagos.
The discovery was made barely two weeks after a consignment of electronic equipment suspected to contain toxic materials was seized at the same port. The ship that brought in the consignment, however, disappeared from the port.
Almost four weeks ago, twin car bomb blasts killed 16 people and injured 66 others in Abuja on October 1.

An intelligence source told THE PUNCH that senior security officials swooped on the port, based on information that a suspicious cargo had been brought into the country from Iran.
The source said top officials from the Police, the State Security Service, the Directorate of Military Intelligence and Naval Intelligence participated in the operation.

It was gathered that the clearing agent had raised suspicion when he allegedly offered to “pay any amount” to get the containers transferred from AP Moller Terminal to an off-dock terminal.
The agent reportedly pleaded for the containers to be screened outside the ports.

But his attempts failed, as information was passed to the relevant quarters on his suspicious actions. It was at this juncture that security agents were called in to search the containers. The unidentified importers of the consignment were said to have described its contents as building materials.
It was gathered that when the first container was opened, the security agents found various sizes of grenades, rocket launchers, bombs, assault rifles and heavy machine guns hidden in 24 crates of building tiles.

However, the source said, “We cannot quantify the contents yet. All we know for now is that they are concealed in tiles.”

The SSS Assistant Director, Public Relations, Mrs. Marilyn Ogar, confirmed the seizure to our correspondent on the telephone, saying the weapons were concealed among crates of floor tiles.
“On opening the first container, operatives discovered rocket launchers, grenades and other explosives,” she said.

She, however, declined to provide the identity of the vessel that brought in the containers and its final destination. Ogar confirmed that the containers’ manifest indicated they contained building materials.
She said security agents would search the containers through the night.
Ogar said security agents got information after the October 1 twin bomb blasts in Abuja that “arms were being brought into the country.”

When contacted, the spokesman of the Nigeria Customs Service, Mr. Wale Adeniyi, said, “As I speak with you, the first container is still being examined. We understand they are 13 in number. The contents of the first showed it had mortals, bullets and such related items.”
Attempt to obtain a reaction from the First Secretary, Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Sadeghazadeh, on Tuesday night failed as he did not answer calls to his phone. He did not also respond to an SMS.

With Halloween right around the corner i thought i’d bring you some crazy facts you need to know in order for to have a safe Halloween.
So scouring the internet i found some intriguing yet scary facts about regular and random things that happen to people.

For instance, did you know that the average human eats 8 spiders in their lifetime at night? What?!?! That makes no sense at all, have you ever eaten a spider without knowing? Here’s another one, rats multiply so quickly that in 18 months, and two rats could have over 1 million descendents.  Imagine 1 million rats, ughh that’s nasty.

Check out some other scary sh*t you should know...

  • Did you know that if you have your head chopped off you can expect seven seconds of consciousness before all the blood drains from your brain.  You would have time to view the world from a bodiless perspective. Now that's crazy! And i only thought chickens did that.

  • If you sneeze too hard, you can fracture a rib. If you try to suppress a sneeze, you can rupture a blood vessel in your head or neck and die. Damn, hopefully Bey doesn't surpress her sneezes, god bless you!

  • If you urinate when swimming in a South American river, you may encounter the candiru. Drawn to warmth, this tiny fish is known to follow a stream of urine to its source, swim inside the body, and flare it's barbed fins. It will remain firmly embedded in the flesh until surgically removed. OUCH!!! Think twice before you urinate in a pool now.

  • Did you know that the venom of the king cobra is so deadly that just one gram of it can kill 150 people? Just 1 gram can wipe-out 150 people, damn!

President Mugabe Gives Big Brother Loser, Munya, $300K

President Mugabe never ceases to amaze and annoy people. The economic state of  Zimbabwe and the state of the citizens is worst than anything one can imagine under the sun and yet Mugabe decided to give 300,000 dollars out like that….

Read below for more

Harare – Zimbabwe’s representative in Africa’s Big Brother reality TV show landed in second place, but took home a prize bigger than the official jackpot, a gift from President Robert Mugabe’s family.

Munyaradzi Chidzonga lost out to Nigeria’s Uti Nwachukwu, who won the official $200 000 prize from the show that locks contestants from around the continent in a house. But the 24-year-old received a $300 000 cheque from President Robert Mugabe, state media said.

The money was collected through a campaign spearheaded by Harare businessman Phillip Chiyangwa, a relative and close ally of the veteran ruler, who reportedly thought the voting on the show was unfair. It’s not clear if 86-year-old Mugabe himself actually watched the show. “I didn’t think you would survive because you looked so young, perhaps the youngest of them all,” Mugabe told Munyaradzi as he handed over the cheque.

“It was Nigeria versus Zimbabwe and Nigeria is a very big country, so you deferred to Nigeria. But both of you won and from our point of view, for us, you were the winner.”

However, some people said the awarding of the money was a case of misplaced priorities in a country that struggles to pay teachers their meagre salaries of around $150 a month. “Once again, we are the masters of misplaced priorities,” one Shamba Shambamuto wrote in a letter to the privately owned News Day.

“If we can give this contestant a whopping $300;000, then surely we can do more for our suffering masses who live in perpetual hunger, sickness and economic marginalisation.”

John Dumelo Arrested In Nigeria…

John Dumelo
John Dumelo

I thought this Nigeria-Ghana saga has left us for good but here it is popping up again. Popular Ghanaian Actor John Dumelo was nearly arrested in Nigeria for non payment of the controversial levy which was slashed on Ghanaian actors who decide to work in Nigeria.

The arrest “near arrest” has been confirmed by the president of Actors Guild Of Nigeria-Segun Arinze.

Read the interviews below for more….

Information available on peacefmonline.com indicates that John was apprehended on set in Nigeria whiles shooting a new movie for a female Nigerian producer. The sources disclosed that the actor was arrested for refusing to pay an amount Ghanaian actors and producer are supposed to pay before they are permitted to act in any movie. John Dumelo confirmed the incident in and exclusive interview with peacefmonline and explained that there was an attempt to arrest him but he was not really arrested.

“Yes they nearly arrested me, it wasn’t an arrest as a matter of fact but I was nearly arrested.” Asked what the reason for his attempted arrest was, John said “It is because of this Ghana-Nigeria thing that we are supposed to pay something before we are allowed to shoot in Ghana or in Nigeria”. He further explained that he went to Nigeria to shoot a movie a few days ago and while he was on set, some members of the producers association in Nigeria came with the police to arrest him for shooting in Nigeria illegally.

According to John, they claim that the producer who brought him to Nigeria did not pay some association for bringing a Ghanaian there. “It was one of the associations which brought in the police. The police didn’t come there on their own, but eventually I wasn’t arrested. I was nearly taken to the police station for whatever reason I don’t know”.

Asked how he was able to prevent the police from arresting him he said “Obviously I have a Nigerian working permit and everything so I showed them my working permit and told them to sort thing out with the producer because it is the producer who has to pay them.

“For me I don’t have to pay anybody any money, because it was the producer who brought me there. So if there is any problem it is the producer they should talk to”. On how he was able to leave the country without been harmed or manhandled John said “Oh! I managed to finish filming the next day and then I left”.

Segun Arinze
Segun Arinze
However the president of the Actor Guild of Nigeria Segun Arinze has also confirmed the incident saying John was not arrested but he was stopped from working in Nigeria without permit. Speaking on Peace FM’s “Entertainment Review” program he said even though he was not in town when the incident occurred he was told on his return that John was not arrested. “Nobody arrested John Dumelo to the best of my knowledge I know he was stopped from working but he wasn’t arrested. That will be a bit of an exaggeration”.

Segun said there is no problem at all and that everything is under control. He also added that three days after the incident, The Actor Guild of Nigeria and producers had a meeting with the Ghana Actors Guild and the Ghanaian producers to solve the problem. “We are brothers and we will forever remain brothers. I don’t see anybody been arrested. It is a free enterprise; we just need to sort a few things out”. According to Mr. Arinze plans are far advanced for both parties to have a final decisive meeting either in Lagos or in Accra.
Segun used the opportunity to apologize to Ghallywood actor John Dumelo. “To John Dumelo I will say we are deeply sorry for what happened. He was embarrassed we are sorry about it, and believe me, we will work it out there is nothing to worry about”.

When “Entertainment Review” host Kwasi Aboagye asked Segun why Ghanaians and Nigerians are demanding some payment before they are allowed to act or shoot in their respective countries, he answered “Nobody has asked anybody to pay anything. I think there has been confusion in the system, some people are doing this to profit and be mischievous about it, and we will defiantly get them and flush them out. We are all one; I go to Ghana to do movies and Ghanaians come to Nigeria to work. I don’t see why we should be losing sleep over this I think it is something we can definitely sort out”.

This whole Ghana-Nigeria rift started when Ghanaians reportedly demanded $1,000 from Nigerians and Nigerians also threatened to demand $2,000 from Ghanaians. This has resulted in some gruesome exchanges between Ghana and their Nigerian counterparts. Earlier on in the year, actors Van Vicker, Majid Michel and others also faced similar situation in Nigeria and they had to return to Ghana for their own safety.

John Dumelo’s incident seems to be a retaliation to the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG) who seized the camera of a Nigerian crew who were allegedly shooting in Ghana with the express permission few months ago. The crew, who were shooting on the Spintex Road in Accra, refused to identify who the producer was, when the FIPAG members confronted them with the police. They then decided to confiscate their camera until the producer owned up.
